Camel![]() Here is our hero riding a camel on the shores of Lake Naivasha. It did not turn out to be a pleasant experience because hippos were grunting and roaring nearby and camel refused to walk across the shallow water to the island where the gazelles and zebra were grazing. The camel was very frightened of the hippos. The second day we took a boat out to Crescent Island and hiked for two hours through the bush with our guide, Moses.
Gazelles
We enjoyed watching the waterbuck, gazelles, and zebra that were grazing near our bungalow at the lake. There were also flocks of pelicans. NISTWe also had a tour of the NIST campus, even though it was Sunday so not as lively as usual. Timothy

Patricia also attended a service where our music children performed all the music for the communion service. This is Timothy. He is the son of Ben Muteti that Patricia met in adult Bible Study. Ben is a laboratory scientist and began his training at our mission hospital and then studied further at University of Nairobi and in Denmark. His wife Margaret is a nurse. Timothy is in Grade 7 and studies both piano and violin with me, Joann.
